The situation
installation jobs are sold at a fixed price or on time and materials. Which ones paid?
A project's profit is in its timesheets, its costs and its billing. Here you ask.
Step by step
Each step as it looks in the demo installation, on Aurora Components (Demo).
Open Dynocortex → Chats and ask
"Which of our installation projects made money, and which lost it?"
Ask
"Why did Summit's LED retrofit take longer than quoted?"
Ask
"What's late on the Keystone job right now?"
Open Projects → Timesheet Billing Summary and Project Summary (search for them).
What a good answer contains
- Lakeside Hospital came in on budget.
- Metro Transit's station upgrade ran well over its hours and a month late.
- Summit's LED retrofit was a fixed price, and took about a third more hours than estimated: Aurora's cost, not the customer's.
- Keystone's job: the task past its date, from its latest Friday project update, for Morgan.
What the full product does beyond the demo
The Executive watches each project's hours against its estimate as timesheets come in, and raises an overrun before the job closes.
Answers are worded afresh each time, so yours will read differently. The demo company is made up, and its data goes back to the start every night.
